Obituary of Violet Evelyn Reese

Violet Evelyn Reese was born August 28, 2016 at 1:58 am; weighing 5 pounds, 7 ounces; measuring 18 ¼” tall. Violet is the beloved daughter of Emily and Daren Reese, their first child. Her parents enjoyed 38 weeks of pregnancy; making plans, sharing dreams, and thrilling to the experience of this new life made from their own. Although Violet was not to draw a breath outside her mother’s womb, she certainly breathed life into those who so eagerly awaited her arrival. A feathered nest had been prepared, and dreams were cast for family and future. Instead, Violet was gathered into the arms of our Lord, leaving us with her beautiful human form, but never to fully know her in this life. What we do know is that Violet is loved, safe, and will forever be spared the pains and sorrows of Earth. As family and friends struggle with the loss of dear Violet, her death has given birth to a wave of kindness, comfort, and blessing. The love shown by so many during this season of grief reminds us of how profound a single life can be. Violet’s life, however brief, brought out the best in so many.
