Obituary of Y Z Powell, Jr.

Powell, Y Z, age 83 of Nashville, TN passed away on October 31, 2016. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Doretha Powell; parents, Rev. Y Z (Gussie) Powell, and 8 siblings. He is survived by children, Anthony, Steven (Cynthia), Clifford, Jeffery (Glenna), Stephanie; devoted daughter-in-law, Barbara Robertson; and close friend Kathie Covington; grandchildren, Wytnee, Latoya, Andrea, Asia, and Aijalon Powell; great-grandchildren, Amaya and Aleah Powell. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 5th at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Andre and Anthony Powell, Larry Lewis and Darius Searcy serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 pm, until time of service.
