Obituary of Mable K. Sanders

MRS. MABEL SANDERS- age 85 of Westmoreland, passed away late Tuesday evening July 26, at the Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette. Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Sanders were conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Siloam Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Greg Dunham and Elder Ricky White officiating. Interment followed in the Siloam Church Cemetery. Mable K. Sanders was born on July 20, 1926 to George and Deshae Meadow Harrison in Sumner County, TN. She departed this life on July 26, 2011 at the age of 85 years. On October 24, 1942, Mable was married to Elder J. D. Sanders sharing sixty-three wonderful years together, he preceded her in death on March 7, 2005. They had three sons, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; that she loved and cherished. Being a full-time housewife and mother, kept Mable busy. She loved taking care of her home and supporting her husband in his ministry. Elder J. D. pastored many churches in the surrounding counties and Mable was always by his side. Mable enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. She was a good seamstress and loved cooking for family and friends. Mable collected many dolls and adored every one of them. She was saved as a young girl and was a faithful member of Siloam Missionary Baptist Church. Mable had a personality that made it so easy to love her. She will be missed by her family and all the many friends that came to know and love her. Mrs. Mabel is survived by, Sons, Roger Sanders and wife Odette of Panama City, FL, Glen Sanders of the Siloam Community in Macon County, TN, Grandsons, Ritchie Sanders of Hawaii, Jeff Sanders and wife Julie of Kingsport, TN, Eric Sanders and Adam Sanders both of Amory, MS, Granddaughter, Angela Borders and husband Adam of Westmoreland, TN, and 5 great-grandchildren.
