TERRY LEE TRENT - age 48 of Lafayette, Tennessee passed away Monday evening, September 5, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services for Terry Lee Trent were conducted Thursday, September 8, 2011at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Walter Andrews and Brother George Tucker officiating. Interment followed in the Roark Cemetery. Terry Lee Trent was born on September 4, 1963 in Macon County, Tennessee to the late Vestle D. and Lillie Mai Bergdorf Trent. Besides his parents; two brothers, Ricky Dale Trent, and Jerry Wayne Trent, and a sister, Debbie Kay Hawkins also preceded him in death. He married the former Pamela Lynn Horton on November 18, 1995, sharing fifteen years together. Terry leaves behind his wife and five children. He was self-employed working in construction. Trent Tank and Backhoe Service was where he worked for his brother, twenty seven years. Riding and showing horses was a big part of his life. Terry enjoyed going to Colorado every year with his brothers. They would go out on the trails and spend hours riding their horses in the mountains. Terry truly loved God's gorgeous landscape. He was a member of the Macon County Saddle Club and the Westmoreland Saddle Club. Terry had many horse buddies that would always see who could tell the biggest tales about each ride. He stood by the gate as his girls rode and would yell "come on your behind". Terry was a man who never knew a stranger. He always kept a smile on his face and always felt the need to aggravate someone just to keep things going. He was a wonderful father that would do without to make sure his family was provided for. His family was his world; Terry adored his grandchildren, and when they came along there were no stars brighter in the sky. He always said to look in his grandchildren's eyes warmed his heart, more than the sun could warm the earth. Terry was excited that he had two more grandchildren on the way. Terry had a hard outside surface, but the warmest heart. He was a good husband, father, and friend. Anyone who knew him knew Terry was one of a kind. Terry Lee was saved November 8, 1981 at Town Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Wilson County. The family said Terry came up off the mourner's bench shouting. When you think of him remember his smile and comedian type personality. Ride Cowboy Ride. We will love you and miss you greatly. Now you can join your parents, brothers, and sister.
