Obituary of DANNY WILLARD CARR

MR. DANNY WILLARD CARR, age 56 of Hartsville, TN and formerly of Lafayette passed away November 5, 2011 at Trousdale Medical Center. Memorial services for Danny Willard Carr were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Dean Dyer officiating. Danny Willard Carr was born on March 1, 1955 in Lafayette, Tennessee to Lucille Oliver Carr and the late Paul Willard Carr. Danny was a very personable and much liked young man he had a quick wit, an infectious smile and a laugh that made you want to smile back. He loved playing football and baseball in school and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Danny was previously married and had one son, Daniel Carr: that was what he had always wanted. Danny's son meant the world to him, and his son's love was unconditional. The last fourteen years, Danny has shared his life with his sweetheart Rebecca Rickman. She has a son and grandson whom he loved also. Danny worked as manager for a shoe store in Lebanon, Tennessee until 2002, before having to retire due to health problems. Danny couldn't go out much because of his health, so he enjoyed watching his favorite, football teams on television. He was a huge Green Bay Packer and Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Danny was also loyal and kept up with his local teams. He always wanted to know the game details every Friday night. Danny loved westerns on television and never missed "The Virginian" every afternoon. He was saved as a young boy and joined Maple Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he remained a member. Danny is survived by; Son, Daniel (Lindsey) Carr, Grandchild, Maddox Paul Carr, Mother, Mrs. Lucille Carr, Sister, Shelia (Dewayne) Hix all of Lafayette, Companion, Rebecca Rickman, Companion's son, Jason (Jennifer) Rickman all of Hartsville, and Companion's grandson, Aiden Rickman.
