Obituary of Kelly Lynn Carter

KELLY LYNN CARTER - age 43 of Lafayette passed away on Monday evening, November 21, 2011 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Kelly Lynn Carter were conducted Friday at 11 a.m. from the Alexander Funeral Home with Elder J. E. Shoulders officiating. Interment followed in the Sumner Memorial Gardens. Kelly Lynn Carter was born on August 2, 1968 in Sumner County, Tennessee to the late Paul Jr. Carter and Jimmie Pike Bowles Carter. She grew up being one of nine siblings. On November 21, 2011 at the age of 43, Kelly departed this life following a short battle with Cancer. Besides her parents, Kelly was preceded in death by a sister, Janie Farley. As a young woman Kelly was married and had two sons and one daughter. Kelly was disabled but she enjoyed staying at home and being a housewife. She enjoyed collecting angels, and she had accumulated a large collection. Kelly loved her children and her grandson, and she cherished the time that she was able to spend with them. She always enjoyed traveling with her family and going on vacations. She was always excited about going back to visit the Smoky Mountains. Kelly did not attend church regularly but most importantly, she leaves behind an experience of salvation. Kelly will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her. She is survived by; Companion, Timothy Jones, Sons, Chad Isom (Denise) Carter, Jake McKenzie, Daughter, Sky Lynn (Matthew) White all of Lafayette, Grandchild, Carter Allen White, Sisters, Virginia Burgess, Starr Coker, Carlotta Turner, and Joyce Brown, Brothers, Paul Carter, Terry Carter, and Billy Templeton, several nieces, nephews, and great nieces, and nephews, also survive.
