Obituary of Monica Lynn Russell
Monica Lynn Russell, age 47, of Lafayette, TN, passed away on Saturday December 24, 2011 at her residence. Funeral Services for Monica Russell were conducted on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Landy Presley officiating. Interment followed in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
Monica was born on April 10, 1964 in Macon County, Tennessee to the late Brandle and Charlotte Dean Gammon Dyer. She was one of eight siblings born to this union.
Monica leaves behind two sons, one daughter, and a special friend "Sugar", her dog.
She had worked at the Malone Store for several years as clerk until becoming disabled.
Because of a breathing problem, Monica was confined to what she could do. So with time on her hands, she read books. Monica loved to read and especially the Bible. She always wrote things down from the scriptures that touched her. She was saved as a young girl and the Lord was the center of her life.
Family was of the utmost importance to Monica. Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren. Monica loved to spend all the time she could playing with her grandchildren and being with her family.
Monica had a special companion in her life her dog "Sugar". She pampered Sugar, but in return Sugar gave her friendship and love.
Monica is survived by; Sons, Curtis (Michele) Dallas, David Russell all of Lafayette, TN, Daughter, Desiree (Jason) Sadler of Henderson, TN, Brothers, Monty Spencer, Tony Dyer, Bruce (Tina) Dyer all of Lafayette, TN, Wayne (David) Spencer of Manchester, TN, Sisters, Markita Willis of Florida, Hilda Smotherman of Alabama, Maxine (Kevin) Schiefer of Alabama, Tracy (Ali) Hajialilu of Florida, Carolyn Adams of Manchester, TN, Grandkids, Zach and Isaiah Dallas of Lafayette, TN, and her beloved dog, "Sugar".
Monica will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, Sugar, and all who knew and loved her.
