Obituary of Minnie Frances Binion
MRS. MINNIE FRANCES BINION, better known as Frances - age 68 of Lafayette, passed away on December 25, 2011 at the Hartsville Convalescent Center. Funeral Services for Mrs. Minnie Frances Binion were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Jeff Blackwell officiating. Steve Burris, Eric Binion, Royce Kirby, Chris Murray, Rex Murray, and Barry Brooks served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Pirtle Cemetery.
Frances was born on July 3, 1943 in Macon County, Tennessee to the late Howard "Whiz" McClard and Ruby Irene Pedigo McClard. She was one of twelve children born to this union.
Besides her parents, son, Terry Wayne Binion, sisters, Nancy Brooks, Pamela Jo McClard, brothers, Jerry Wayne McClard, also preceded her in death.
She was a seamstress at Racoe for ten years before retiring in 1995. Frances enjoyed spending the day fishing and driving around. For exercise regimen she went to Wal-Mart to walk.
What is the definition of step?
Lift and set down ones foot or one foot after the other in order to walk somewhere or move to a new position.
That is exactly what happened many years ago, my mother Donna married Terry and we moved into a new position in life. There may be no blood relation but Frances was our grandma, no questions asked. Never once did I hear the words step grandchildren come out of her mouth. She always made us feel welcome and she loved us unconditionally. OK enough with me calling her Frances.
Minnie of course she hated anyone to call her that, but I did and she loved it when we did just for the aggravation.
Minnie was very reserved until she had her brain aneurysm. After that, you always knew what was on her mind. She always had a very outspoken opinion whether she was asked or not, and it was always how she truly felt. No sugar costing to it. Minnie was a very giving person.
Through the summer mouths she was always at a yard sale looking for "great deals" to buy for the ones she loved. My house is full of "Lost Treasures" that she would find and bring to me, now they are treasure to me.
Minnie is going to be greatly missed by all of us on earth, but she is in heaven with her son Terry that she worshipped. She is also with the rest of her family that has gone on before. Minnie we love you and we will see you again someday. You will be in our hearts until we meet again.
Frances is survived by; Daughter-in-law, Donna (husband) Steve Burris, Daughter, Susie (Royce) Kirby, Grandchildren, Rian Kirby, Jaysen Kirby, Eric (Kelli) Binion, Erica (Tracy) Blair, and Ashley (Jason) Dyer, Great-grandchildren, Mahaley Shoulders, Torrie Blair, Jordan Rogers, Cortney Burris, Kurt Hesson, and Camerin Reid, Sisters, Rebecca (Billie) Harrison , Jean Pierson, Sue (Rex) Murray, Linda ( Bill) McClanahan, Judy (Stanley) Gregory, and Debbie Andrews, Brothers, James McClard, and Charlie (Kim) McClard, Special great-niece, Aly Brooks, several other nieces and nephews also survive. Frances will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
