Obituary of Ron Kevie

RON "El Kevo" KEVIE - age 70 of Lafayette, Tennessee passed away on February 7, 2012 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. There was a Memorial service conducted for Ron "El Kevo" Kevie Friday, February 10 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Bryan Melton, Kevin Harris, and Lyn Reid officiating. The family requested memorials in the form of donations be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Association. These donations can be made at the office of Alexander Funeral Home. On January 20, 1942, Ron was born to the late Robert Kevie and Erma Wareham Kevie in Taylorville, Illinois. He married the former Deborah Cristine Barber on June 20, 1993, sharing eighteen years together. Ron leaves behind his wife, five children and two step-children. Ron was able to apply his talents in the career he chose. Being a self-employed Tattoo Artist for over forty-five years Ron served many, many customers during this time. Being very detailed and precise in his art made him very well known in the Tennessee area. He had several High Profiled Clients during his time in business. Ron had owned several parlors including Nashville, Tennessee, Tompkinsville, Kentucky, and a business here in Lafayette. The name of his business here was "Forever Yours Tattoo", that he manager for several years. Everyone who knew Ron would comment on his big caring heart. He would give to someone who was in need and do without himself. Riding motorcycles was what Ron and Deborah enjoyed doing every chance that came available. Ron will be greatly missed by his family and all the many friends who knew him. He is survived by; Wife, Debbie Barber Kevie of Lafayette, TN, Daughters, Julie (Ricci) Johnson of Taylorville, ILL, Rhonda (Ralph) Beard of Owanaco, IL, and Margaret Chester of Alton, IL, Sons, Ronnie Kevie of Taylorville, IL, and Terry Ream of Venice, FL, Brother, Bobby Kevie of Paris, CA, Sister, Linda (Bob) Hall of Taylorville, IL, Step-daughters, Kimberly Wilson of Heavener, OK, and Stefanie Anderson, of Glendora, CA, 12 grandchildren, and 2 great-granddaughters.
