On May 9, 1948, Brenda Faye Shaw was born to the late Coy Rex Shaw and Flossie Naomia Stinson Shaw. She was one of four siblings born to this union. Brenda was married on June 14, 1967 to her sweetheart Quentin "Darrel" Driver, sharing forty-three years together and raising two sons, Jerry and Randy. Darrel preceded her in death on October 15, 2010. Besides her husband and parents; one brother, Bruce Shaw also preceded her in death. She worked as a seamstress for Imperial Reading for several years, and later she was employed by Form-fit Rogers for a period of time. Brenda retired in 2000 after twenty-plus years of working in the garment industry. After retiring, Brenda focused her attention on caring for her family. When Brenda was with her children and grandchildren, her day was complete. In her spare time, she would work on piecing quilts. Brenda also enjoyed reading books and watching the birds eat from the feeders that her son had built for them. In more recent years, she had rekindled her love for going to the High School football games and supporting her grandson in his endeavors. Most importantly, as a young girl Brenda was saved and united with the Lord's church at Rough Hill. She remained a member of Rough Hill Missionary Baptist Church until her passing. Her family and friends will have a huge empty spot in their hearts, but our loss is Heaven's gain.
