LORENE COULTER - age 79 of the Enon Community in Macon County, TN passed away on Monday, April 9, 2012. Funeral Services for Lorene Coulter were conducted Thursday at 3:00 p.m. from the Enon Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Brad Carver and Elder J. E. Shoulders officiating. Those serving as Pallbearers were Randy Turner, Bobby Butner, David Presley, Jack Carlisle, Rex Murray, and Chris Murray. Interment followed in the Enon Church Cemetery. Lorene Murray was born on June 6, 1932 in Macon County, Tennessee to the late Tilvis Andrew Murray and Norma Malenda Biles Murray. She was one of four siblings born to this union. She was married to the love of her life, Lawrence Denton Coulter on September 29, 1952. They shared thirty-eight years together and raised one daughter, Evelyn. Lorene's life revolved around her family. You could always find Lorene and Lawrence together. Just being around them you could see the love they shared. Lawrence preceded her in death on April 12, 1990, but she is once again walking beside him. Besides Lorene's husband and parents; three brothers, Wince Murray, Genie Murray, and Floyd Murray, and one sister-in-law, Daffo Murray, also preceded her in death. She was a seamstress for Imperial Reading Garment Factory for over twenty-five years. Later, she worked part-time for the Stockyard Café in Lafayette. Lorene enjoyed quilting and especially cooking. Lorene was always making desserts; giving them to her friends and to the nurses and doctors who cared for her. She loved to be around people, talking and keeping up with the latest news. Lorene would go out on weekends with her friends and family to eat; she loved fried fish and frog legs. She had a loving and caring personality and everyone who knew Lorene, loved her. If you came to visit she always made you feel at home. Lorene was a very dedicated church member. She was saved as a young girl and joined Enon Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member. If she wasn't at Church on Sunday something was wrong. Leaning on the Lord and supporting her church was what kept her strong. Lorene will be greatly missed by her family, church family, and all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by; Daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Windell Pruitt of West Fork, AR, Grandson, Troy Pruitt of Las Vegas, NV, Sister-in-laws, Patsy Murray of Red Boiling Springs, TN, and Nellie Murray of KY, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
