Obituary of Allean Virginia Oldham

Allean Virginia Carmon Oldham was born on April 16, 1919 in Macon County, Tennessee to the late Tom Maxie Carmon and Eva Jewell Cothron Carmon. Allean grew-up in Macon County and was married to the late Samuel Frank Oldham for forty-four years. To this union was born three daughters and four sons. Besides her parents; former husband, Frank Oldham, daughter, Shirley Jones, granddaughter, Marcita Pate, sister, Christine Gregory, and sister-in-law, Vitez Carmon also preceded her in death. Allean cared for her children and worked at the local garment company, Form-fit Rogers, retiring in 1958. She also enjoyed baby-sitting children for twenty-seven years. Allean was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. As a young lady, Allean was saved and joined Meadorville Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life she joined Maple Grove #2 Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a member. On Tuesday, August 21st with her family by her side, the Lord called Allean home. Her family and friends will greatly miss her, but our loss is Heaven's gain. Allean is survived by; Daughters, Linda Stewart, and Annette (J.B.) Kemp all of Lafayette, TN, Sons, Sam (Jonelle) Oldham of Greenwood, IN, Bobby Oldham of Lafayette, TN, Ronald (Annette) Oldham of Goodlettsville, TN, Brad (Karen) Oldham of Lebanon, TN, Brother, Elmer Max Carmon of Lafayette, TN, Brother-in-law, John L. Gregory of Hendersonville, TN, 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday, August 24th at 2 pm from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Cary Kemp officiating. Honorary Pallbearer was John L. Gregory. Serving as Active Pallbearers were; Chris Oldham, Brian Oldham, Josh Oldham, Kevin Stewert, Lee Haley, Brad Oldham, and Derik Bilbrey. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.
