Obituary of Jewel Lee Snow

Jewel Lee Clark Snow was born on April 20, 1932 in Jackson County, Tennessee to the late Raymond Lovel Clark and Georgie Ethel Woodside Clark. She was one of four siblings born to this family. Besides her parents; granddaughter, Veronica Snow, brother, Charlie Clark, and an infant child also preceded her in death. On January 1, 1958, Jewel was married to Sam Houston Snow. They have shared fifty-four wonderful years together and raised three children, Anthony, Phillip, and Janie. Jewel has worked as a store clerk for Dollar General and later for Wal-Mart. She retired in 1989, but never slowed down. Jewel kept children for a while and they all called her Mama Jewell. She also was a talented seamstress and had sewn for the public. Being the devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, the needs of her family always came first. She was a good cook and loved making meals for her family and friends. When Jewel wasn't busy, she liked to talk on the phone to her friends. Jewel enjoyed church singing and was a dedicated member of White Oak Church of Christ. On Saturday, September 1, 2012, the Lord called Jewel home. Jewel will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Jewel is survived by; Husband, Sam Snow of the Oak Knob Community in Macon County, TN, Daughter, Janie (Jeff) Hauskin of Lafayette, TN, Sons, Anthony Snow and Fiancé Stacy Paris of Lafayette, TN, Phillip (Fay) Snow of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Grandchildren, Adrianna Snow of Westmoreland, TN, Samantha Snow of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Garron and Kyle Snow of Lafayette, TN, Jordan and Joshua Hauskin of Lafayette, TN, Brothers, Eldon and Frances Clark of Lafayette, TN, Larry Clark of Portland, TN, Close Friend, Polly Hire of Lafayette, TN. Funeral services for Jewel Snow were conducted on Monday, September 3, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Mike Rogers officiating. Keith Sircy, Ronnie Waller, Jim Salyer, Andrew Salyer, Phillip Driver, Jamie Scruggs, Rocky Hudson, and Dan Shafer served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Underwood Cemetery.
