Obituary of Mary Lou Tinsley

Mary Lou Tinsley, age 49, of Lafayette passed away September 16, 2012 at Macon County General Hospital. Graveside services were conducted Thursday, September 20, from Forest Chapel Cemetery. Mary Lou was born on March 20, 1963 in Sumner County to Joe Sanders, and the late Margie Lou Troutt Sanders. She was one of three daughters born to this family. Beside her mother; daughter, Bonnie Shelton, and son, Jerry Sanders also preceded her in death. Mary Lou was previously married and had three sons and one daughter. Later on October 25, 1998, she was married to Roger Dale Tinsley and gained one step-daughter. Mary Lou loved being with her family and especially enjoyed the time spent playing with her grandkids. She was unable to get out much, so Mary Lou enjoyed relaxing and watching television. Mary Lou will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. She is survived by; Husband, Roger Dale Tinsley, Sons, Steven (Ashley) Shelton, and Terry (Candace) Shelton, Step-Daughter, Diana (Scotty) Gass, Father, Joe Sanders, and Grandchildren, Jerry, Jeffery, Steven, and Isabella Shelton, Madison, Abigail, and Mason Shelton, and Sasha Gass, sisters, Betty ( Rocky) Carter, Teresa (Mark) Shelton, several nieces and nephews, and former daughter-in-law, Michelle Matthews.
