Obituary of Max Wayne Steen

MAX WAYNE STEEN was born on November 9, 1949 in Lafayette, Tennessee to the late Levey Booker Steen and Pauline Evelle Cothron Steen. He was one of three siblings born to this family. Besides his parents; brother, Claudine Steen, sister, Wanda White, and nephew, Donnie Steen also preceded Max in death. Max was a self-employed radio technician working in electronics most all of his life. He made many friends while working in his shop. Max had to retire in 2008 due to health reasons. Max enjoyed talking to friends on his CB radio and going to Swap Meets. He also loved spending time with his niece and nephews. Max went to live at Smith County Health Care and loved it. He enjoyed socializing to the other residence. Max told his family, that he was ready to go. He was of the Missionary Baptist Belief. On Wednesday, September 26, 2012, the Lord called Max home. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. Max is survived by; Sister-in-law, Lou Ella Steen Driver, Brother-in-law, Willard White both of Lafayette, TN, Nephews, Tony (Jennifer) White of the Hillsdale Community in Macon County, TN, Ronnie (Barbara) Steen, Nelson (Kim) White all of Lafayette, TN, and Neal (Gina) White of Lebanon, Niece, Becky Steen of Scottsville, KY, Aunt, Lee West of Lafayette, TN, several great nieces and great nephews, also survive. Funeral services for Max Steen were conducted Thursday, Sept 27th, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Terry Austin officiating. Tony White, Willard White, Ronnie Steen, Randy East, Neal White, and Lewis White served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.
