Obituary of Steve Edward Spurlock

Steve Edward Spurlock was born on April 12, 1962 in Davidson County, Tennessee to the late Edward Spurlock and Shelby Dixon Spurlock. As a young man, he was married for a time and had one son. Steve later married Maggie Dyer Spurlock on June 27, 2004; she survives. Steve worked as a security enforcer at the Starlight Lounge for several years. He enjoyed spending the day outdoors with his friends, fishing. Steve also did landscaping and enjoyed going to yard sales. He was one of the biggest Tennessee Titans fans around. Steve wouldn't miss watching the team play and had a collection of Titan's memoribilia. He was a member of Full Gospel House of Prayer in Lafayette. On October 21, 2012, the Lord called Steve home. Maggie and the family, and many friends will truly miss him. Funeral services for Steve Spurlock were conducted Wednesday October 24, 2012 at 11 AM from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Tony Whittemore officiating. Samuel Dyer, Donnie Likens, Michael Likens, Cad Ramsey, Jerry "Petie" Likens, George Burnett, and Randy Likens served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Steve is survived by; Wife, Maggie Dyer Spurlock of Lafayette, TN, Son, Steven Daniel Spurlock, Sisters, Regina Crutcher, and Jennifer Tuttle, Rebecca Spurlock, Grandsons, Samuel (Penny) Dyer, Donnie (Becky) Likens, Michael (Tammy) Likens,David (Cathy) Likens, Anthony Burton, Mathew Likens, and Brandon Likens, Granddaughters, Angie (Billy)Bandy, Ashley Henderson, Amber Henderson, and Alyssa Henderson, and numerous family and friends, also survive.
