Obituary of Danny Lee Mandrell

Danny Lee Mandrell was born December 25th, 1955 in Scottsville, KY to the late Roy T. Mandrell and Lillie Bell Meador Mandrell. Besides his parents, one brother, Phillip Roy Mandrell also preceded him in death. Danny was saved at the early age of fourteen at Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church in Lafayette, TN. He attended Willow Creek Baptist Church, pastored by Brother Clinton Davenport, up until the time of his death. Danny worked at Carter Automotive for over twenty years. When Carter's closed, he then went to Toshiba in Lebanon, TN where he worked for thirteen years until their closing. His hobbies were fishing, going to benefit cakewalks, and watching the Titans play football. He loved everyone especially his church, church family, and special friends. Danny had been battling cancer and other medical problems for five years. He left this world on October 22, 2012 at the age of fifty-six. Danny will be sadly missed by his wife, family, and all who knew and loved him. Funeral services for Danny were conducted Thursday at 2 pm, from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Todd O'Hair and Brother Clinton Davenport officiating. Randy East, Lonnie Douglas, Donnie Miller, Herman Harp, Marcus Dennis, Tony Fuqua, Austin Alderson, and Ray Mince served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. He is survived by; Wife, Margie Mandrell, Sons, Brandon Mandrell, Quinton (Heather) Mandrell, Step children, Lisa (Gary) Alderson, Faye Bragg, Daryl Hagan, Sisters, Carolyn Mandrell, Lisa (Ricky) Dennis, Brother, Michael (Jennifer) Mandrell, eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, that also survive Alexander Funeral Home, Directors, in charge of arrangements.
