Obituary of Louis Henry Meador

Louis Henry Meador, known as Henry, was born in Lafayette, on August 12, 1926 to the late Perry Artles Meador and Myrtle Alice Meador. He was one of four siblings born to this union. As a young man, he was married to Ruby Bea White on September 7, 1946. They made a home and cherished each other for sixty-six years, until her death in 2011. Besides his wife and parents, two brothers, Hubert Meador, Paul Douglas Meador, and one sister, Helen Swindle also preceded him in death. Henry worked for Lafayette Manufacturing for twenty years as a machine operator, and then went to work for Fleetwood for ten years. He loved to work on the farm in his spare time, and farming became a hobby for Henry. Henry was a dedicated member of the Cedar Bluff Missionary Baptist Church, and loved attending whenever possible. On Saturday October 27, 2012 the Lord called Louis home. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, but is now resting peacefully in heaven. Funeral services for Henry were conducted on Wednesday, October 31, at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Floyd Ferguson officiating. Interment followed in the Mooneyham, White, and Robinson Cemetery. Henry is survived by; Nephew, Lannie Meador of Plainfield, IN, Nieces, Carolyn (Richard) Barton of Scottsville, KY, Pamela Whited of Indianapolis, IN, Penny (Ken) Wagner of Avon, IN, Anissa (Joe) Dallas-Edlin of Franklin, IN, Sister-in-laws, Betty Meador, Peggy (Bobby) Hauskins all of Lafayette, TN, Selma (Charles) Tuck of Hendersonville, TN, and Mary White of Gallatin, TN.
