Obituary of Ivie Christine Hester

Ivie Christine Hester, better known as Christine, was born in Allen County, KY, on October 28, 1930 to the late Owen Jackson Harrison and Hettie Doss. She was one of seven siblings born to this union. She was married to Walter Hester in the mid-sixties. They made a home and cherished each other until his death in 1998. Besides her parents and husband, two sisters, O.C Lovejoy and Louise Carter also preceded her in death. Christine worked as a homemaker for most of her life, and enjoyed doing things around the house. She especially enjoyed quilting and gardening. After moving to the nursing home, she loved playing Bingo with the other residence. Christine was saved as a young girl, and loved it whenever a church would have services at the Nursing Home. On Wednesday October 31, 2012 the Lord called Christine home. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, but is now resting peacefully in Heaven. Funeral services for Christine were conducted on Friday, November 2, at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Bruce Kirby officiating. Interment followed in the Eulia Cemetery. She is survived by; Step-Son, Clifford Hester of Lafayette, TN, Step-Daughters, Betty Veach of Lafayette, TN, Dollie Kirkham of Westmoreland, TN, Brother, Hollis Harrison of Lafayette, TN, Sisters, Clarice Carmer of Southport, IN, Fairlyn Stinson and Cathy Guinn both of Lafayette, TN, Grandchildren, Anthony Hester, Tiffany Walters, Paulette Benhan, Walter Fields all of Lafayette, TN, and several Great-Grandchildren, also survive.
