Obituary of Donald W. Smalling

Donald Wayne Smalling was born in Macon County, Tennessee, on June 10, 1944 to the late Fred and Flossie Rulene Cook Smalling. Donald was previously married in his youth and has two daughters and one son, Donna, Glenna, and Mark. He loved his children and grandchildren. Being raised in the beautiful hills of Macon County, Donald loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time fishing. He worked in local factories on assembly lines, until Donald retired in 1998. Donald was saved at a young age and later became a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. On Sunday, December 16th, the Lord called Donald home. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. Funeral services for Donald Smalling will be conducted Wednesday at 11 am from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Medlin officiating. Interment will follow in the Galen Cemetery. Donald is survived by, Daughters, Donna (Tim) Shaffer of Lebanon, TN, Glenna (Shane) Cothron of Granville, TN, Son, Mark Smalling Stevens of Cookeville, TN, Brother, James (Hazel) Smalling of Lafayette, TN, Sister, Versie (Garlin) Dotson of Somerset, KY, Grandchildren, Amelia Brummett, Brandon Brummett, and Kayla Hudson also survive.
