Obituary of Albert Cordell Andrews

Albert Cordell Andrews was born in Macon County, Tennessee on April 4, 1921 to the late Willard Aubrey Andrews and Maudie Bell Hoskins Andrews. He was one of six siblings born to this union. At the age of sixteen, Albert married his true love the former Ruthie Delier Lamb, on May 23, 1937. They raised five children and shared sixty-eight years together. Ruthie passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2005. Farming ran though Albert's blood, he enjoyed milking cows, raising tobacco, and doing all the chores that come with farming. Albert loved to spend the day rabbit hunting and trading rabbit dogs. Besides his wife and parents; daughter, Darlene Shankel, sons, Albert Lee Andrews, Bobby Joe Andrews, and Walter Ray Andrews, grandson, Albert Lee Andrews, Jr., brothers, Johnnie Andrews, and Ernest Andrews, sisters, Marie Jones, Earlene Hoskins, and Versie Sircy, also preceded Albert in death. Albert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. His grandchildren were Albert's pride and joy. On Thursday, January 3, 2013, the Lord called Albert home, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services for Albert were conducted Sunday at 3 pm from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Joe Osborne officiating. Interment followed in the Drury Cemetery. Albert Cordell is survived by; Daughter, Carolyn (Tommy) O'Neal of Portland, TN, Grandchildren, Tina (Bob) Wolf, Wayne (Tabatha) O'Neal, Joyce (Jeff) Hardin, Charlotte (J. T.) Likens, Beverly (George) Hale, Robert Andrews, Steven Andrews, and Trina (Joe) Osborne, fifteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
