Obituary of Delvinia Tuttle

Delvinia Katherine Tuttle was born in Macon County, Tennessee on December 14, 1922 to the late Laranzy Likens and Allie Mae White Likens. She was the only child born to this union. As a young woman, Delvinia was married to Lee Whittemore. They raised five children and shared many wonderful years together until his passing in 1991. Besides the father of her children and parents; husbands, Fred Tuttle and Kenneth Allen, and Daughter, Katherine Lee Whittemore also preceded Delvinia in death. She worked as a nurse's aide until her retirement in 2004. Delvinia loved to spend the day in her flower garden, and also enjoyed quilting and sewing. She was a loving woman and was always wearing a smile. Delvinia was a member of the Union Hill General Baptist Church. On Sunday, January 27, 2013, the Lord called Delvinia home. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services for Delvinia Tuttle were conducted on Wednesday, January 30 at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Harold King officiating. Interment followed in the Cold Springs Cemetery. Delvinia is survived by; Sons and Daughters-in-law, Jack (Judy) Whittemore, Roger (Christy) Whittemore, Daughters and Sons-in-law, Vexey (Freddy) Bandy, Judy (Timmy) Whitley all of Lafayette, TN, nine Grandchildren, eighteen Great Grandchildren, Several Great Great-Grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family.
