Obituary of Helen Huffines

Helen Huffines was born in Sumner County, Tennessee on October 12, 1938 to the late Homer and Lorene Green Wix. She was one of nine siblings born to this union. As a young woman, Helen was married and had two sons and a daughter. Besides her parents; brothers, Jessie and Ronnie Wix, sister, Janice Wix, and Grandchild, Savannah Sullivan also preceded Helen in death. Ms. Helen was a hard worker throughout her life. She always worked on the farm as hard as any man milking cows and doing whatever was needed to keep the farm going. She also worked at Fleetwood Homes for 14 years and worked as a painter for a few years as well. Ms. Helen was a very loving mother and grandmother that enjoyed life to the fullest. In her spare time, she loved going camping with her family. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She wanted nothing more than to have all of her family together and cook for her family. Most importantly, Helen was saved by God's Grace as a young girl. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. In her crusade to spread the gospel, she would often fill her van with kids along the way to church on Sunday. She loved the Lord and wanted to help lead many children to him. On Saturday, February 9, 2013, the Lord called Helen home. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
