Obituary of Halsey C Lana

Lana C. Halsey was born in Hazard, KY on January 28, 1949 to the late Harrison and Vernie Wooten Colwell. Lana was one of four siblings born to this union. As a young woman, Lana was married to William Ray Halsey. Together they raised six children, and shared many wonderful years until his passing in 1981. Besides her parents and husband; sister, Martha Marie Pruitt also preceded Lana in death. Lana always worked as a home maker and loved taking care of her family. In her spare time, Lana liked to sit and read a good book. Most of all Lana loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Most importantly, Lana was saved as a young girl. She was of the Baptist belief On Sunday February 15, 2013, the Lord called Lana home. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Lana is survived by; Sons, Marvin Ray (Dee Ann) Halsey of Lafayette Harrison (Chrissy) Halsey of Jasper, FL William (Gayle) Halsey Bobby (Krista) Fleek Christopher (Angela) Halsey Daughter, Mildred (Christopher) Wilder Sister, Gladys Patterson all of Lafayette Brother, Herman Colwell of Ohio A host of nieces and nephews also survive.
