Obituary of Robert O. Crews

Robert Crews was born in Clinton County, Indiana on August 5, 1941 to the late Clyde Bronston and Mary Nell Kingery Crews. Robert was one of four siblings born to this union. As a young man Robert was married and had 2 sons. On June 21, 1980, he married Wanda Gene Perrin and together they raised a daughter and shared 32 years together. Besides his parents; son, Tony Crews, brother, Donald Crews, and sister, Joann Crews also preceded him in death. Over the years, Robert had worked in sales with a furniture retailer. He enjoyed talking with customers trying to encourage them to take home a new sofa or kitchen table. More recently, he worked for Wal-Mart here in Lafayette from where he recently retired due to his failing health. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed spending his days playing golf. He was a member of the Lafayette Country Club. He also enjoyed being outside mowing his lawn. Robert was a member of the Walton's Chapel Church of Christ. On Wednesday, February 20, 2013, the Lord called Robert home. Funeral services for Robert Crews were conducted on Friday, February 22, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Mike Rogers officiating. Interment followed in the Siloam Cemetery. Family and Friends served as pallbearers. Robert is survived by; wife, Wanda Crews of Lafayette, TN, son, Steve (Veronica) Crews of Tipton, IN, daughter, Jennifer Crews of Tipton, IN, grandchildren, Keeley & Zach Crews of Nobelsville, IN, Olivia Crews of Tipton, IN, Jayden Crews of Lafayette, TN, sister, Barbara (Tom) Suite of Frankfort, IN.
