Obituary of J.R. Sanders

J.R. Sanders was born in Macon County, TN on October 21, 1939 to the late Gennie Sanders and Dorothy Gulley Sanders. He was one of six siblings born to this union. J.R. had five children, and was married to the love of his life, Pansy Lois Howe. They shared many wonderful years together until her passing on February 23, 1995. He started out with his own moving business in Nashville, Tennessee. J.R. was a hard worker. After moving back to Macon County he started farming. He loved being in the barn tinkering or out in the field working. In his spare time, J.R. loved to be with his family and friends above all else. J.R. was of the Baptist belief. On March 1, 2013 the lord called J.R. home. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services for J. R. Sanders were conducted Monday at 2 pm from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Glenn Howard officiating. Interment followed in the Drury Cemetery. J.R. Sanders is survived by, Sons, Robert Dale Sanders, J. R. Sanders, Jr. and wife Connie, and J.L. Sanders and wife Trish, Daughters, Dorothy Marie Young and husband Kerry all of Lafayette, and Darlene Stofer and husband Rudy, Brothers, Sammie Sanders and wife Pam of Adolphus, KY, Sister, Marie Martin and husband Robert of Dickson, TN, Step-son, Chris Sanders and wife Brittney, Nephew, Jesse Sanders and several other nieces and nephews, 9 Grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren.
