Harold Wix

Obituary of Harold Wayne Wix

Harold Wayne Wix was born in Sumner County, Tennessee on September 10, 1944 to Homer and Lorene Green Wix. He was one of nine siblings born to this union. As a young man, Harold married the love of his life, Naomi Louise Ray on July 21, 1961. They shared fifty-one wonderful years together and he had three daughters and two sons. Naomi stayed home and cared for the children, while Harold worked. Harold was a hard worker. Most of his life was spent truck driving, but often you would find him farming and doing tree service, as side jobs. Harold and Naomi were very involved in motorcycle rides, and loved their time spend together on their bike. He was an active member of the H.O.P.E. Riders Club, standing for "Help Other People Everyday". They would often talk about how much they had acquired. They were not talking of material things, but of their children and grandchildren. Harold was a very giving person and always wore a smile. On August 3, 2012, the Lord called Naomi home. This left a huge hole in Harold's heart that he couldn't recover from. Besides Naomi and his parents; son, Nicky Lee Wix, daughter, Sandy Jean Wix, brothers, Jesse "Bubba" Wix and Ronnie Wix, sisters, Helen "Sis" Huffines and Infant baby, Janice preceded him in death. Harold attended New Zion General Baptist Church. On Wednesday, April 17, 2013, Harold went to be with Naomi. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but he is now with Naomi basking in Heaven's Glory. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 2 pm from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Harold King officiating. Timothy Wix, Buddy Wix, Melvin Woodall, and Bubba Graves served as Honorary Pallbearers. Danny Wix, Bobby Wix, Nathan Gray, Mike Smith, Willie Baker, and Doug Knight served as Active Pallbearers.
