Obituary of Loretta Brawner

Loretta Baggett Brawner was born in Mount Vernon, Indiana on January 10, 1950 to the late Edgar Baggett and Irene Stevens Baggett. She was one of seven siblings born to this union. Besides her parents; brothers, Jr. Baggett and Clifton Baggett, and granddaughter, Samantha Johnson also preceded Loretta in death. As a young woman, Loretta was married and had two daughters, Michelle and Amanda and one son, Danny Bratcher. Later, on May 3, 2009 she was married to Jerry Brawner and gained two step-sons, Joey and Jason Brawner. Loretta worked for Flex Technologies for nine years, retiring in 2003 due to health problems. She enjoyed growing flowers and watching the Hummingbirds. Loretta loved her family and enjoyed talking to the ones who live in Indiana most every day. Loretta had a sweet and kind personality, that everyone enjoyed being around. Grace Baptist Church is where she attended services on Sunday's. Loretta enjoyed reading her Bible and discussing it with her friends. On May 2, 2013, at the age of 63, the Lord called Loretta home. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Funeral services for Loretta Brawner were conducted Saturday at 2 pm from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Landy Presley officiating. Bob Stewart, Dusty Rollin, Joey Brawner, Jason Brawner, Carl "Bo" Dobbs, Ethan Stewart, Richard Scruggs, and Charlie Scruggs served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Eulia Cemetery. Loretta is survived by; Husband, Jerry Brawner of the Rocky Mound Community in Macon County, TN, Daughters, Michelle Webb and Amanda (John) Turner all of Mt. Vernon, IN, Son, Danny(Theresa) Bratcher of Poseyville, IN, Step-Mon, Mildred Baggett, Step-sons, Joey (Linda) Brawner and Jason (Crystal) Brawner of Macon County, TN, Brother, Glenn (Jane) Baggett of Mt. Vernon, IN, Sisters, Evelyn Hughes of Bedford, IN, Joy (David) Clark, and Jeanette Hogan all of Mt. Vernon, IN, Grandchildren, Destiny and Alec Turner, and Tyler and Kendale Webb, Grandchild, Kayce Moore, Great-Grandchildren, Aiden and Callie Moore, Step-Grandchildren, Mason, Mandy and Mathew Brawner, also survive.
