MS. TONYA LYNN WOHLGAMUTH - age 51 of Ford Branch Road in Macon County, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services for Tonya Lynn Wohlgamuth were conducted on Sunday, June 5th at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Jeff Blackwell and Pastor Kathy Cowan officiating. Interment followed in the Drury Cemetery. Tonya was born on October 21, 1959 to the late Harry Charles and Garnett Rose Vanzandt Wohlgamuth in Adrian, Michigan. She was one of five children. Her parents preceded her in death. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and was a joy to be around. She loved her job as a dietary aid at Knollwood Manor in Lafayette and had many friends who worked with her on a daily basis. Tonya was a very neat and orderly person. She would lay her clothes out in the evening, for her next work day. Her family tells that she took great pride in making her bed every day. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch and loved her TV shows; "Full House" and the "Home Alone" movies, just to name a few. She also liked going to the Sonic Drive-In and ordering one of their foot-long hot dogs and she also loved ice cream cones. Tonya was crazy about Elvis Presley. She enjoyed riding on her golf cart and it gave her a sense of freedom. Tonya was very competitive when it came to playing the card game "UNO" and was very good at winning. She was a big flirt when it came to the gentlemen. She could spot a "pretty man" from a mile away. They said that she had a keen sense of knowing whether or not the "pretty men" were married or single. She could tell by simply judging the smile on their face. Tonya loved her friends and family and was considered to be a big sister to most of her nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Beech Grove United Methodist Church. Tonya will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
