Obituary of Evelyn Mince

EVELYN FORD MINCE - Age 77 of Lafayette, Passed away on Sunday July 17, 2011, at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin. Private Graveside services were held on Tuesday, July 19 at 10 a.m. from the Eulia Cemetery. On February 13, 1934, Evelyn was born to the late Lonnie Ordean and Joyce Brawner Ford in Macon County, Tennessee. She worked for several years at Western Electric, retiring in 1984. Give Evelyn a needle and she could make most anything from crocheting, cross-stitching, or knitting. Whenever someone moved into the neighborhood she would crochet a name piece and present it to them. After her hands began to give her problems, she began reading. Evelyn could sit for hours watching her favorite birds, especially Hummingbirds. Bingo was a past time she liked playing, too. Evelyn's son, Eddie and his family, was her life. She cherished every moment she spent with them. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Evelyn is survived by: Son and Daughter-in-law; Eddie (Teresa) Mince of Lafayette, TN, Grandchildren; Jason (Joy) Mince of Shelbyville, TN, Jessica (Daniel) Bartley of Lafayette, TN, Great-Grandchildren; Slayden and Zola Mince, Ava and Grady Bartley, and Step Great-Grandchildren; Dennis, Courtney, and Bianca.
