Obituary of Edna Johns Harris

Edna Johns Harris, age 79 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday November 30, 2016. Funeral Service will be Sunday December 4th at 3:00 pm from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, with Bro. James Gill officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens, with Chris Alexander, Teddy Baird, Billy Burns, Gerald Johns, Timothy C Johns, Timothy Wayne Johns, Jimmy Overton and James Reese serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday December 2nd 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Saturday December 3rd 2:00 -8:00p.m, and Sunday December 4th 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Mrs. Harris was born December 20, 1937 in Sumner County to the late Benton & Idella Wix Johns. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Nealie Harris. She is survived by son, Benjamin (Amy) Harris of Gallatin; granddaughter, Hollie (Chris) Alexander of Murfreesboro; brother W.C. (Ruby) Johns of Gallatin; sister, Anna Marie (David) Sims of Hartsville; and brother, Robert (Kathy) Johns of Gallatin. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
