Obituary of Erskine Dempsey Hadley

Erskine Dempsey Hadley, 74, of Deltona, FL, passed away on December 3, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born and raised in Nashville, TN, the son of Delta and Rhea Hadley. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Jean Hadley. Much beloved father of Deborah Kahler of Gallatin, TN, Rhonda Melendez of Jacksonville, FL, Kimberly Kay Eastman and her husband Timothy of Herndon, VA, Dempsey Philip Rhea Hadley and his wife Ginger of Deland, FL and Drew William Russell and his wife Lorra of Bluemont, VA, Ashley Dawn Griffith and her husband Brian of Oneida, TN. He has 13 grandchildren; Andrew Melendez, April Banga, Kristen Gerhold, Emily Thomas, Dempsey Rhea Hadley, Branden Hadley, Taylor Hadley, Trista Howard, Seth Tenpenny, Paul Tenpenny, Lacey Tenpenny, Amber Hadley, Colten Hadley, Reece Griffith, Macey Griffith, Macy Griffith, Chase Rushing, and Hope Rushing, and 15 great grandchildren. Dempsey’s survived by his brothers David Hadley of Murfreesboro, TN and Philip Hadley of Orange City FL. Dempsey loved life and lived it to its fullest. He was a master carpenter by trade, he loved fishing, gold-mining and animals. Dempsey will be greatly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as visiting with his family brought him great joy. Funeral Service will be Tuesday December 13th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday December 13th from 12:00 noon until time of service.
