Obituary of Stella L. Pulley Reed

Stella L. Pulley Reed, age 73 of Portland, passed away Friday December 16, 2016. Funeral Service will be Monday December 19th at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Peace officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Bridge Cemetery, with Barry Browning, Joseph Reed, Dale Thacker, Andrew McCullough, Alex McCullough serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday December 18th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Monday December 19th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Stella was born March 29, 1943 in Sumner County to the late James Carsey Pulley and Ida Alice Reels Pulley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Harvey M. Reed; grandson, Harvey Mitchel Reed II; brothers, Rondal Ray Pulley, Jessie Franklin Pulley, William Curtis Pulley, and Jimmy Wandel Pulley; and sister, Pat Curd. She is survived by children, Lydia Nichols (Ronnie) of Gallatin, David Thomas Reed (Sarah) of Gallatin, Steven Reed of Bethpage, and Penny Reed (James Wilson) of Westmoreland; sisters, Virginia Reed of Gallatin and Carol Ann Laughlin of Gallatin; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
