Obituary of Fred Clark Cowley, Sr.

Fred Cowley, age 79, of Lebanon, passed away on December 26, 2016. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the service. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Glenn Denton, Brother Mike Shelby, and Brother Bubba Walpole is 1 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home. Interment in Cowley Family Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers: Vince Belcher, Bobby Stroud, Drew Robinson, Michael Cowley, Chris Cowley, and Jimmy Washer. Honorary Pallbearers: Junior Harris, Ricky Harris, Terry Stone, Steve Malone, David Rodgers, and Ronnie Harris. Mr. Cowley was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and loved baseball, being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and being with people. He worked as the shipping foreman in the Woolen Mills in Lebanon. He is survived by wife of 50 years, Doris Cowley, children Beverly “Levette” Brennan and Clark and Lisa Cowley, grandchildren Jessica Scranton, Brittany Cowley, Jimmy Washer, Drew Robinson, Carrie Robinson, and Azilee Cowley, great-grandchildren Harley Scranton, Ayden Scranton, and Ashton Bowen, and siblings Harry Cowley, Dorothy Houston, and Sue Hrusosky. He is preceded in death by parents Lee and Emma Forehand Cowley, brothers Dick Cowley and John Cowley, and sisters Elizabeth Walpole, Martha Lillibridge, and Nancy Mullins.
