Obituary of Joe Allen Bennett

Joe Bennett, age 71, passed away on March 4, 2017. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service. The Funeral Service, conducted by Reverend Danny Sellars, is 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home. Interment in Smith County Memorial, Carthage TN, will follow the service. Pallbearers: Brian Bennett, Allen Heston, Ray Heston, Neil Turner, John Bennett, Jordan Measle, Ricky Mofield, and Jeremy Bennett. Mr. Bennett Mr. Bennett was a 1964 graduate of Smith County High School. He had worked at Witt’s Sign, the Woolen Mills in Lebanon, , was a supervisor at various construction and manufacturing companies, and loved fishing, boating, drawing, hanging out with his family, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is survived by wife Marie Measle Bennett, children Sallie Turner (Neil), Bennie Spurlock (Ruby), Thelma Joe Mofield (Ricky), Cecil Bennett (Debra), Lewis Bennett, and Brenda Heston (Ray), 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brothers Bob Bennett and Kenny Bennett, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents Cecil and Opal Burris Bennett, brother Larry Bennett and sister-in-law Dottie Bennett.
