Obituary of William R. Quisenberry
William (Bill) Quisenberry, Age 82, passed away on March 14, 2017. The Memorial Service is 5 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Bill was born June 4, 1934 to Maurice Andrew Quisenberry and Mary Ann (McAlister) Hayward. Bill attended School in Holbrook, Arizona in Navajo County. During his high school years Bill excelled in basketball and received a scholarship offer for his athletic ability. He graduated high school in 1953 and decided on a career in the Air Force. He achieved great success at the rank of Master Sargent during his Air Force career. He stayed quite busy with his four children, and enjoyed coaching his boy’s football team. He loved playing music with his band at local venues as a favorite pastime. Bill gained recognition for his many accomplishments during his service and eventually retired from Vandenberg Air Force Base in Lompoc, California. Bill had four children when he met his wife Carol A. (Knox) Quisenberry. They married in Virginia City, Nevada on June 14, 1973. Bill always had a passion for music even during his military career. Upon retirement he pursued this passion and recorded two records. This led him to his home in Lebanon, Tennessee and eventually to a career in country music promotions. Bill and Carol enjoyed listening to up and coming talent and promoting new artist. They also shared a love for breeding and showing horses which became a business for them as well. Bill enjoyed a long and successful life doing everything he enjoyed. He will be missed by many. Bill is survived by his wife of 44 years Carol Knox Quisenberry, Sons Donald Quisenberry and Wayne Quisenberry (Lesa), Daughter Connie Burleson (Jimmy). Also Surviving is brother Joel Quisenberry (Donna). Grandchildren Matthew Burleson (Mandi), Jacob Burleson (Kassi), Lorna Jo Quisenberry, Roni Michelle (Mike) Stanton, John (Kelly) Quisenberry, Stephanie Quisenberry, Michael Quisenberry, Kristine Quisenberry, and Andrea Nicole Quisenberry. He has four great granddaughters, and three great grandsons. His is preceded in death by (father) Maurice Quisenberry, (mother) Mary Hayward, (sons) Allen Quisenberry and Ronald Quisenberry.
