Obituary of Elizabeth Dorris Edwards

Elizabeth “Sug” Dorris Edwards, age 77 of Gallatin, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017.   Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 23rd at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Peace officiating.  Entombment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be Monday, May 22nd from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, May 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Edwards was born December 12, 1939 in McEwen, TN to the late Couch Brown and Johnnie Henderson Brown.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands, Bobby Dorris and Archie Edwards; son, Parrish Dorris.  She is survived by sister, Margaret Franklin (Jim) of Waverly; nieces, Lee Ann Brewer (Mark) of Oxford, MS, and Ginny Horn of Lexington, KY; nephew, J. W. Franklin, Jr. of Cookeville; great nieces and great nephews, Kirsten Brewer, Cade Brewer, Rob Lawrence, David Horn, Rachel Horn, and Natalie Horn.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
