Survived by wife of 42 years, Carolyn Hammonds; sons, Shawn Michael (Kandice) Hill and Charles Edward Hammonds, II; brothers, James (Mary) Hammonds and Noel William Hammonds; sister, Patricia Ann Hicks; grandchildren, Katelynne Deshey Hammonds, Chloe Renee Hammonds, Kendra Leah Hammonds, Wade Dorsey and Rowan Elise Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
