Obituary of Angelo Roman

Rev. Angelo Roman passed away on September 25th of 2017.  He was born on February 9th, 1933 in Brooklyn NY.  During his life he was many things: a husband, a father of seven children, a small business man and a master electrician.  But most of all, he defined himself as a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ.  Over the course of his life he helped start many churches.  He helped many people come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. 

Angelo is survived by his wife of 66 years Carmen, and his seven children and their spouses:  Ben Roman and his wife Donna, Evelyn Szymczyk and her husband Hank.  David Roman and his wife Nancy, Lillian Beretta, Angelo Jr. and his wife Beth,  Nancy Schnarrs and her husband Ken, and Daniel Roman and his wife Doris.  Angelo was also blessed to have fifteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, with more on the way.  Angelo was preceded in passing by his parents, Sotero and Milgro Roman, his brother Ray Roman and his son-in-law, Joe Beretta.

The celebration of Angelo’s life will take place on Saturday, September 30th at 1PM at Sellers Funeral Home, 2229 N. Mt. Juliet Rd.  Mt. Juliet, TN 37122.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to The Joe Beretta Foundation.  The Joe Beretta Foundation is the family foundation named in honor of Angelo’s son-in-law.  The foundation helps families of LVAD patients suffering from congestive heart failure.  Contributions can be made online at http://www.thejoeberettafoundation.com.
