Obituary of Ronald Derial Sellars

Ronnie Sellars passed away on October 19, 2017 at age 66.  The Funeral Service, conducted by Reverend Danny Sellars, is 1 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Mt. Juliet Family Worship Center (495 N. Mt. Juliet Rd) Mt. Juliet TN.  The visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until the service on Monday.  Interment in Sellars Arnold Cemetery, Norene TN, will follow the service.  Pallbearers:  Ray Byrd, Tommy Winfree, Mike Rutledge, Tommy Davis, Alvin Sellars, Danny Hopwood, Dwayne Watson, and Chad Thompson.  Honorary Pallbearers:  Golfers at Lebanon Golf and Country Club, Jimmy McDowell, Jeff Lasater, Joe Eatherly, Don Willis, Don Ashworth, and Bobby Sircy.

               Ronnie was Captain of the Lebanon High Class of 69 Football team (once a Blue Devil, always a Blue Devil), a prize fighter and Southeastern Golden Glove champion. He was an avid Vol Fan, a golf fanatic, and family man.  Ronnie was a member of the Mt. Juliet Family Worship Center.

Mr. Sellars is survived by wife Beverly VanHook Sellars; children Julie Sellars, Jill (Donnie) Skirvin, Allison (Andy) Cox, Brian (Julie) McDonald, Sara (Charles) Hastings, Ginny McDonald, and Mark (Lauren) Senne; grandchildren Zach, Jacob, Jalyn, Jarren, D.J., Isaac, Jeremiah, Blake, Kayleigh, Jenna, Maddie Jo, Silas, Zeb, Judah, Caleb, Knox, Maverick, and JoJo; siblings Patsy (Hayward) Phillips, Evon Adkerson, Donna (Bobby) Thompson, Billy (Jan) Sellars, and Danny (Kathy) Sellars; and sister-in-law Barbara Sellars.  He is preceded in death by brother Eddie Sellars, parents Walter and Nelda Roberts Sellars, and brother-in-law Sam Adkerson.  Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, 615.444.9393.
