Obituary of Carol Chandler

Carol Staudt Chandler, age 75 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017.  Funeral Service will be Friday, December 8th at Gallatin First United Methodist Church (149 West Main Street, Gallatin) at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. James C. Johnson, Jr and Dr. Ted Hill officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday, December 7th from 3:00 – 7:00 at Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue), and Friday, December 8th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Gallatin First United Methodist Church.  Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Kevin Williams, Jared Fitch, Mark Beasley, Buddy Chandler, Steven Drake, and Richard Harville serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Chandler was born August 15, 1942 in Centralia, IL to the late Charles Staudt and Curelia Brink Holland.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sister, Marsha Mullins.  She is survived by husband of 50 years, Billy G. Chandler; daughters, Lisa Williams (Kevin) of Gallatin and Christie Fitch (Jared) of Gallatin; and 4 grandchildren, Caroline Hopkins, Anna Hopkins, Lauren Hopkins, and Jackson Sargent.  Mrs. Chandler worked for Southern Bell for 7 years in Paducah, KY, was a kindergarten aide at Howard and Vena Stuart Schools, secretary at Gallatin First United Methodist Church, and was a secretary at Gallatin High School.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gallatin First United Methodist Church Choir, 149 West Main Street, Gallatin TN 37066).  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
