Obituary of Evelyn Elizabeth Dickson Taylor

Evelyn Elizabeth Dickson Taylor, age 94 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017.  Funeral Service will be Thursday, December 21^st at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue), with Bro. Ronnie Briley and Bro. Jerry Russell officiating.  Interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be Wednesday, December 20^st from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, December 21^st from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.

Mrs. Taylor was born January 27, 1923 in Gallatin to the late Currie K. Dickson, Sr. and Effie K. Bennett Dickson.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant son; and brother, Currie K. Dickson, Jr.  She is survived by sons, Garey Taylor (Linda Joyce) of Portland and Clifton Taylor (Shirley) of Gallatin; sisters, Pauline Silvey of Hendersonville and Ruth Rice of Hendersonville; 4 grandchildren, Sandra Fadeley (Byron), Terry Taylor, Michael Taylor (Suzanne), and Steven Taylor; 11 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.  Mrs. Taylor retired from Eaton Corporation after 28 years of servie.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
