Obituary of John Granville Thomas

John Granville Thomas, age 82 of Gallatin, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017.  Visitation will be Wednesday, December 20^th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue).  Interment will be private.

Mr. Thomas was born December 17, 1935 in Nashville, to the late Charles Richard Thomas II and Nell Marie Schmidt Thomas.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Richard “Dickie” Thomas; and sisters, Dorothy Bobo and Carol Shuford.  He is survived by wife of 60 years, Barbara Ann Walden Thomas of Gallatin; sons, John Lee Thomas (Mary Linda) of Nolensville and James “Jim” Thomas of Madison; daughters, Tammy Morris of Franklin, TN and Terri Brown (Kevin) of LaVergne; 4 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.  Mr. Thomas retired from DuPont and was in the Air National Guard.  He was a member of Hartsville Pike Church of Christ.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
