Obituary of Dorothy Emmitt Keith

Dorothy Emmitt Keith was born on April 25, 1927, to the late Clemmie Emmitt and Thelma Mae Fox Emmitt.  She passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018.  Dorothy was 90 years old.  She was a member of Amazing Grace Community Church in Lafayette, TN.  Dorothy was an extremely talented seamstress and retired as a Machine Operator from Washington Manufacturing in Nashville, TN.  Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Logan Keith, Jr.; son, William E. Keith; grandchildren, April Lee Keith and Logan Emmitt Keith; great-grandchildren, Keith Quick, Mary Keith, and Wyatt Daniel Keith; and brother, Clay Blankenship.  Dorothy is survived by; sons, Logan (June) Keith, David (Theresa) Keith, and Danny Keith; Daughter-in-law, Ruby Chaffin Keith; brother, Ray (Theresa) Humphreys; grandchildren, Lauree (James) Dorris, Jeff (Jennifer) Keith, Jennie (Michael) Keith, Rob (Shelby) Keith, Jeremy Keith, Matthew (Samantha) Keith, Brian Keith, and Dustin Keith, Ambra Hunter, Jessica (David) Windrow, and Edi (Dan) Hargett,. She is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  Visitation will begin at Alexander Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, from 11 AM until 8 PM, and on Thursday, from 9 AM until service time at 11 AM. Pastor Harold Carman will officiate and interment will follow in the Galen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons. Family is requesting memorial contributions in the form of donations to Sherry’s Run.
