Obituary of George Herbert Williams

George Herbert Williams age 89 of Bush’s Chapel community passed away on February 10, 2018. George retired from DuPont after 40 years of service. He was a member of Fountain Head Church of Christ.

He was born on November 2, 1928 to the late George Gilmore and Evie Tribble Williams in Goodlettsville, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Carrie Nell Williams (wife), Nancy Williams (infant daughter), Glenda Williams (daughter-in-law), and siblings, Margaret Oaks and Allen Williams. He is survived by sister, Maye Lankford; sons, Don Williams of Chester, VA, Dr. Dan (Gina) Williams of Franklin, TN and Max (Donna) Williams of Cottontown, TN; grandchildren, Carrie Williams, Dr. Daniel (Lindsay) Williams, Michael (Courtney) Williams, Ashley (Christopher) Wiles, Allison Williams, and Emily Williams; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Ethan, Micah and Clara Wiles; Eden and Hannah Williams; and Archie McDonald. Pallbearers are Dr. Daniel Williams, Michael Williams, John Williams, Randy Williams, Dale Oaks, and Christopher Wiles.  Honorary pallbearers are Gabriel Wiles and Ethan Wiles.

Visitation will be held at Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home in Gallatin (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue) from 4pm to 8pm on Monday, February 12th and from 9am to service at 10am on Tuesday, February 13th with Bro. Matt Miller and Dr. Dan Williams officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Potter Children’s Home in Bowling Green, KY.
