Obituary of D. L. Freeman

D. L. Freeman, age 80 of Gallatin, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018.  There will be a private service at a later date.  Mr. Freeman was born July 4, 1937 in Franklin, TN to the late Herman Flemming Freeman and Inez Huff Freeman.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Neil Freeman and Danny Freeman.  He is survived by wife of 61 years, Betty Taliaferro Freeman of Gallatin; daughters, Donna Clemons (Roger) of Bethpage and JJ Brazelton (Glynn) of Murfreesboro; brother, Kenneth Freeman of Gibson, TN; 5 grandchildren, Kim Borders (Spencer), Mitchell Clemons, Nathan Dunlap (Marianna), Zachary Ross (Tram), and Whitney Holland (Michael); and 8 great grandchildren, Hadley Borders, Landon Ross, Harper Dunlap, Kinley Holland, Cameron Dunlap, Beckham Holland, Alayah Ross, and Easton Holland.  Mr. Freeman served our country in the United States Navy on the cruiser, USS Roanoke and later served in Guam, and loved his time serving the country.  His passion was trucking, where he was mostly in management for about 45 years.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
