Obituary of John "Johnny" Golmon Bradley III

John “Johnny” Golmon Bradley III, of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018.  Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, April 21st at First Presbyterian Church Gallatin at 2:00 p.m.  Visitation will be Friday, April 20th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue), and Saturday, April 21st at First Presbyterian Church Gallatin from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.

Johnny was born April 5, 1942 in Gallatin to the late John Golmon Bradley, Jr. and Frances Martin Bradley.  He is survived by wife of 45 years, Linda Corum Bradley of Gallatin; daughter, Rachel Bradley Gioan (Julien) of France; son, John Golmon Bradley IV (Nikki) of Gallatin; 2 grandchildren, Julianna Gioan and Elizabeth Bradley; uncle, Ralph Martin (Suzie) of Madison; aunt, Ruth Martin Rippy of Dalton, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dr. H. Frank Edwards and Joyce Edwards of Gallatin; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Johnny served our country in the United States Army Reserve, and retired after 24 years of service.  He worked with his family in their long running business (72 years), Bradley’s, on the Square in Gallatin.  Johnny was instrumental in starting the Sumner County Volunteer Ambulance Service and worked with them for over 20 years.  He was a life-long member of First Presbyterian Church Gallatin, serving 3 terms as Elder and 2 terms as Deacon.  Johnny served on many boards including, the Library Board, Christian Towers Board, and Sumner County Museum Board.  In addition he was a member of the Kiwanis Club and especially enjoyed spending time with his coffee buddies and dear friends.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that you please donate to First Presbyterian Church Gallatin General Fund, 167 West Main Street, Gallatin, TN 37066.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
