Obituary of Anderson Wood Jordan
Anderson Wood Jordan, 81 of Fairfield Glade, TN, went to be with the Lord, Friday, April 27th, 2018.
He was born April 28th, 1936 in Smyrna, TN, the son of Roy and Katie Jordan. He is survived by Marilyn C. Jordan, wife, and sons, Ronnie Jordan of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Archie Jordan of Alcoa, TN; four grandchildren; his sisters, Betty Lunn, Sarah Womack, Donald Jordan, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Davis, his parents, Roy and Katie Jordan, and one sister, Dorothy Balfour.
Andy was Director of Public Works for several Tennessee cities. He retired in 1993. He was a Navy Veteran having served on the submarine U S S Clamagore. He was one of the founders of Victory Baptist Church in Mt. Juliet, TN and served as a Deacon and Sunday School supervisor at the church and currently was a Deacon at Fairfield Glade First Baptist Church in Fairfield Glade, TN.
Andy was a faithful servant of the Lord and participated in Lay Lead Revivals for several years. He loved playing golf and participated in the Thursday Golf outings of Fairfield Glade First Baptist Church. One of his greatest joys was bringing lost souls to the Lord Jesus.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a Celebration of Life service, Saturday, May 5th, 2018, with visitation from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Fairfield Glade Baptist Church in Fairfield Glade, TN.
