Obituary of Martin J. Grimord

Martin J. Grimord, age 80 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018.  Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, May 26^th at First United Methodist Church Gallatin at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. James Johnson and Dr. Ted Hill officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday, May 26^th from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Gallatin.

Mr. Grimord was born November 28, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Martin Lester Grimord, Sr. and Cecilia Servia Grimord.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister, Mary Jane Grimord.  He is survived by wife of 42 years, Sandra Rose Grimord of Gallatin; son, Jeffrey M. Grimord (Bao Wen) of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Cheryl L. Schmitz (Michael) of Los Angeles, CA; 3 stepchildren, Richard Zachow (Joyce) of Manitowoc, WI, Kristine McCreary of Gallatin, and Robert Zachow (Joanne) of Sheboygan, WI; brother, William Grimord (Lynn) of Milwaukee, WI; sister, Beverly Manthey (Terry) of Milwaukee, WI; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Mr. Grimord served our country in the United States Air Force.  He owned Ladek Metal Products in Wisconsin and owned and operated two restaurants in Arizona.  He retired from Sumner Regional Medical Center in 2000.  In lieu of flowers, the family request that you please give memorials to Gallatin First United Methodist Church, 149 West Main Street, Gallatin, TN  37066.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue) has been honored with arrangements.
