Obituary of Betty Sherlin Shaw

Betty Sherlin Shaw, age 86 of Hendersonville, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Friday, May 25th at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue).  Visitation will be Thursday, May 24th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m., and Friday, May 25th from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Spring Hill Cemetery, with grandsons, Dwayne Sherlin, Mark Mallard, Martin Case, Matthew Case, Seth Mallard, Joel Mallard, and Jacob Sherlin serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters, Victoria Sherlin Lawson, Tracy Sherlin Strickland, and Dana Sherlin Farley.

Mrs. Shaw was born June 8, 1931 in Cleveland, TN to the late Bert Todd and Beulah Ratcliff Todd.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, John Shaw; son, Jimmy Harold Sherlin, Jr.; daughter, Delilah Sherlin Mallard; brothers, Albert Todd, Jimmy Todd, Horace Todd, Ernest “Lum” Todd, and Titum “J.T.” Todd;and sisters, Virginia Dickens, Margaret Tucker, and Pauline Brown.  She is survived by son, Eddie Sherlin of Hendersonville; daughter, Deborah Sherlin Case of Hendersonville; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
